The City of Solon’s Central Park master plan is bringing a new level of sophistication to the city center. The three-phase plan, developed by Cole + Russell Architects and the Coral Company, includes approximately 1,000,000-sf of retail space, 1,000,000-sf of residential space, 1,000,000-sf of office space, a 200-key hotel and structured parking.

Over the past five years, Cole + Russell Architects has completed over 35 master planning projects and provided clients with critical information to move forward with a successful plan. C+RA master planning approach includes analyzing the existing conditions, establishing the project needs, testing the needs through alternative designs and recommending preferred alternatives.

Isle of Palms Fire Station No. 2 in South Carolina opened in September and has already proven what its durable three-story design can withstand. Fire Chief Ann Graham wrote: “Thought you might like to know that Fire Station 2 was designed and built so well that it was used as a tornado shelter on Saturday evening during the severe weather.” Kudos to the project team.
