FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE WPAFB Consolidated Crash-Rescue Building Honored The design for the Consolidated Crash-Rescue building was selected for an Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) Honor Award in the Facility category. This design will receive recognition at the AFMC Design Awards Luncheon on February 1, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. at the Hope Hotel on the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Cole + Russell Architects, Inc. (C+RA) served as the design architect for the design/build project, which also included Burgess & Niple, Inc., and Messer Construction Co. Collaboratively, C+RA and B&N designed a facility that balances aesthetics and function and met the Corps of Engineers and WPAFB’s tight construction schedule.
